Went to see Fucked Up playing with Kurt Vile last night (Happy Valentine’s Day, Heather!). It was amazing, although I was surprised to see such a young band — and to hear backing vocals like that from a guitarist that looks like he’s about ten years-old. And their vocalist, who calls himself Pink Eyes, is hilarious — he was basically doing standup comedy between songs, as well as offering his band up as slaves, smashing plastic cups into his forehead, and at one point, poking me and then hugging me. Great night!
Kurt Vile sucked hard by the way.

Ilya Kovalchuk dealt to the Devils
Good for the Thrashers for finally dumping the player that was single-handedly holding back the franchise from growing.
Thanks for trading him to a team in my favorite team’s (Philadelphia Flyers) division for a score of young talented players, effectively making the Devils a shit team next season as Kovalchuk is a free agent at the end of the year.
