The problem here is not that AT&T is unable to cope with the iPhone, but that there isn’t a US carrier who can. I honestly don’t believe that a Verizon iPhone would be any better, and they are the only other major player in the market. You just cannot put a next-generation handset on last-generation networks and expect it to work.
Agreed. I think Verizon may be better, but it’s not a silver bullet. That many data-whoring users is a bad mix for any carrier. Even the almighty Verizon.
verizon is far from *almighty*… they nerf their phones by disabling features, forcing UI and being on what amounts to a 2nd rate network… did you know you can’t do data and voice at the same time on verizon’s network? no, BECAUSE NO ONE USES DATA ON VERIZON, because there’s isn’t a compelling way to..
no carrier is without fault, but i’m getting sick of AT&T bashing when verizon hasn’t had a set of similar circumstances befall it yet..
