I’m somewhat torn on the whole Vick issue, given that I am a Virginia Tech alum, and he wasn’t [nearly as much of] a scumbag when he was there. More importantly, he has been sentenced and sent to prison, and then released.
All in all though, whether or not he really did “do his time”, it seems more than a bit unfair to me that shortly after being out of prison he’s back to making millions of dollars a year.
Good for Dick’s for not [immediately] capitalizing on him.

Michael Vick is a scumbag, no amount of jail time will change that. Good for Dick’s for doing the right thing, but it shouldn’t be an issue. He shouldn’t be playing football.
If he showed one ounce of remorse for his actions, I might change my stand. But, he’s clearly demonstrated he isn’t sorry for what he did. He’s sorry it’s illegal.
